Minuet alternated between chewing on her lip and humming to herself, nervous of what was about to come. Although she was finally bonded to Nim, the love of her life, their union had been one that not everyone approved of.

It was especially true when it came to Nariel, Nim's young daughter. Minuet knew that the girl had been against their bonding, something which she could understand. But they'd gone and done it anyway and now had to talk with the girl about it. Waiting for Nim, Minuet waited nervously to go speak with her. Afterwards she would also have to tell her own sister as well... something which made her all the more nervous!

Even though he had already told her that he and Minuet were bonded they still needed to visit Nariel together. Nim not only wanted to check that his da'asha was alright after her magical moment but also he wanted her to come to terms with Min as quickly as possible. He sort of hoped that her magic might distract her from the very strong emotions he had seen from her already, when the bonding was revealed.

Upon seeing his sa'lath he grinned like any elf in love and when he came near he picked her up and spun around, claiming his first kiss of the day. Still the clan thought them only intending to bond but they'd reveal the truth soon enough. First they had to address the issues Nariel had, she was the most important person right now, even above her sister, or his cousins...

"Are you ready?" He asked, once he had put her down and allowed her to take breath!

While she was in Nim'aridoln's arms and their lips were pressed together, all worries seemed to flee from Minuet. She giggled like a girl in love --for that she certainly was-- and nuzzled his face. When he set her down, her nervousness returned, but at least she felt somewhat better, but at least her love was at her side.

"No," she admitted uneasily, for she still was unsure about talking with Nariel. More than anything she wanted to be accepted by the da'len, not as a mother necessarily but as her father's bonded. It was likely a upsetting situation for Nariel, but Minuet really wished to be a part of her life as she was so special for Nim. "But we shall go anyway."

"Honestly, Min, she is probably so focused on her magic right now she'll have forgotten all about how angry she was..." Nim said, though he sounded more hopeful than convinced by his own words! Taking her hand he led the way out of the camp and towards the home of Clan A'Tear. Not only was Nim facing Nariel over this but also his daughter's mother. Aza'onna had not seemed particularly happy when she heard what the circumstances were surrounding their daughter's eruption of magic! Nim had to explain that Nariel had somewhere gotten it firmly into her head that he and her mother would eventually end up together, sooner rather than later. Though he did not believe that Aza'onna had put such thoughts in Nariel's head he did think that she'd not spoken to her enough about it. She assumed Nariel had understood when told that it would not be happening.

When they arrived at the edge of the A'Rear camp Nim stopped and squeezed Minuet's hand. "Shall we wait here for a bit while I gather my courage?" He asked, but he was only half serious. Maybe three quarters?

Minuet certainly hoped that was the case, for she did not truly wish to deal with an angered child. While she could understand Nariel being upset, she never knew how to handle when people were angry, especially with her! It always made Minuet want to leave the situation, to be alone and focus on her music…

But she couldn’t do that here, for things had to be smoothed over. She was bonded to Nim now, after all, and with that came the responsibilities of family. He couldn’t just have his daughter upset with him forever. They both deserved to have each other.

So, bravely for her, Minuet followed Nim towards the camp of the A’Tear. When he paused, she moved to wrap her arms around his waist, kissing his cheek lovingly. “We can wait as long as you need to,” she assured softly.

Nariel had spent some time 'recovering' after her magical mishap by resting in her own clan. She had not been to visit her papae since the incident but rather spent it by her mamae's side or with the halla's. She was an official mage now and she was both excited and terrified. Her magic was not calm or peaceful but rather forceful and explosive; literally. She was not sure how she felt about it all.

Whispers had woven through that her father was nearing the clan and with excitement she broke away to go and find him. That excitement deflated, quickly, once she saw Minuet. For a moment she had forgotten the two were bonded. Now, it was all brought back to the surface. Her face stormed over for a moment but she was raised to have manners so she quickly fixed her face with a tight smile.

"Aneth ara Minuet," Nariel said politely. She wished she could like this green haired asha, for she had green hair! How exciting was that! And she had to admit, she was pretty nice. But none of it mattered since she was the reason for her broken family. Or so her nine year old mind thought.

"Papae," she said in a more relaxed voice, her eyes smiling true even if she was not.

The Keeper advanced carefully for he knew how she had looked when her magic had manifested and honestly she looked like she might blow again! When she managed a smile at least he picked her up in his arms and asked her how she was doing? What had she been told about her magic? But more importantly...

"When do you want lessons with me to begin?" Nim had not thought to speak to Aza'onna about it yet, he just assumed that both parents would be teaching their daughter magic.

Nariel, though still a bit upset with her papae for the whole bonding fiasco, settled in his arms and wrapped her arms around his neck. "As soon as possible. I want to be in control of my magic and who knows how long that will take! But it can't interfere with the Hallas. I don't want to neglect them," Nariel frowned. "I need to make sure I can protect them and they aren't too scared of the lightening."

"Aneth ara, Nariel," Minuet answered back pleasantly as the girl embraced her father. Although she didn't know it, she was thinking almost the same thing as the girl. Truly she wished that Nariel would like her! She loved children and although she never expected or even wanted to replace Aza'onna as her mother, there was so much she could do with her!

But she would have to give Nariel time. Perhaps then she would grow accustomed to the fact that she was bonded to her father. Minuet would be patient, she decided, even letting the girl take out her frustrations if she needed.

For now, however, at least she seemed excited about the possibility of learning magic from her father. Minuet smiled, before saying, "I'm sure you will be able to learn that wonderfully, Nariel." After all, Nariel was Nim's daughter and she had no doubt that his talents ran to her as well.

The Keeper had never had such a challenge, his talents had all been steered towards healing which benefited the halla directly. So alongside the halla Keeper Nim was able to still spend a lot of time with the beloved creatures. This would not help his da'len though so he thought long and hard about it, trying to come up with a favourable solution.

"How about I help with the halla while your mother helps you control your primal powers?" It meant she could still interact with the creatures and that her chores for them were being done so they were not neglected as she feared them to be.
